Batties unite to entertain and raise money for mental health education and prevention!
Why "Go Batty"?
Batty is my friend Batrina's nickname. I met her in Montreal back in the late ‘80s when she was studying acting and chatting it up with just about anyone, and we became unlikely friends. Her spirit was big and bold, and she tried her best to escape her tragic Brooklyn childhood. She died of complications from mental illness when she was only 40 years old. Her husband and four children, along with those that knew her, will forever feel her absence, and I would like to honour Batrina’s memory with this initiative.
Nobody should have to live in poverty and die so young because they are mentally exceptional.
"Go batty" is a also a synonym for "go crazy", and my charitable corporation will hire, encourage, provide opportunity and support to people who are mentally exceptional. All profits raised will go back into the community to fund mental health prevention and promotion initiatives. A win-win for sure!
How to make this fly?
I'd like to see every student in Canada have a mental health literacy class and so am designing and delivering presentations.

Please help us find people in the business that might
be unemployed because of mental health challenges – we need to come out
of the cave and Go Batty.
Everything you provide will be appreciated (and will eventually be tax-receipted!) It keeps our costs as low as possible, and we’ll have more money available to fund worthwhile educational mental health programs. We’ll gladly promote your business any way we can, and eat your mosquitos!
